This is the oldest church in Karuizawa, built in 1895 (Meiji 28). It stands amidst the trees, just past the Old Karuizawa Ginza shopping street. As a place of peace and tranquility for visitors to Karuizawa, it is generally open during the daytime throughout the year.
The KARUIZAWA NEW ART MUSEUM was established with the aim of re-examining outstanding Japanese art from the postwar period to the present day from a new perspective, as contemporary Japanese art, and to widely disseminate works that can withstand international acclaim both domestically and internationally.

Karuizawa Picturebook Museum exhibits original illustrations and first editions of picture books by authors active in the modern and contemporary eras. Enjoy the world of picture books through various special exhibitions held throughout the seasons.
KARUIZAWA OHGA HALL has a pentagonal shape, designed to pursue the acoustic ideal. It also exudes the warmth of wood, and it is said that the depth of the sound increases with age. It was built with the hope that visitors to Karuizawa would be enveloped in the beauty of nature and the emotions evoked by music.

Kaikoen is the site of Komoro Castle, also known as Shiratsuru Castle or Suigetsu Castle, and a large plaque bearing the name "Kaikoen," written by Tokugawa Iesato, hangs above the third gate.
At the source of the Yukawa hot spring, hundreds of streams of groundwater cascade down a curved rock face like white threads, creating a refreshing and invigorating atmosphere.
Kumoba Kumoba Pond is beautiful with the changing seasons reflected on its surface. The fresh greenery in spring and the vibrant autumn foliage are magnificent, making it a must-see spot in Karuizawa.
This observation park is located near the summit of Usui Pass, at an altitude of about 1200 meters. It marks the border between Nagano and Gunma prefectures, offering panoramic views of the Southern Alps, Yatsugatake, and Mount Asama. Along the old Nakasendo road near the entrance to the observation deck, there are several teahouses where you can enjoy the local specialty, Chikara Mochi (rice cake). There are also walking trails, allowing you to enjoy a refreshing walk through the forest.
Mikasa Street is the road leading from the Old Karuizawa Rotary to the Old Mikasa Hotel. This street is lined with larch trees and has been selected as one of the "100 Best Street Trees in New Japan." In early summer, you can enjoy the sight of the larch trees budding, and in autumn, the golden foliage makes for a delightful drive.
Onioshidashi Park is a lava art formation created by the massive eruption of Mount Asama in 1783.
This waterfall is nestled in a quiet valley, and a gorge path leads to it. The surrounding environment is full of nature with a unique atmosphere.
This shopping mall is located in a vast area on the south side of Karuizawa Station. Situated in a lush natural setting, it boasts approximately 240 diverse shops, including famous brand stores, interior design shops, general merchandise stores, and outdoor goods stores.
This direct sales facility for agricultural products from Karuizawa Town offers a wide selection of fresh local vegetables and other produce. It sells fresh Karuizawa vegetables ("Kirishita Vegetables") and locally certified "Karuizawa Brand" products, and also hosts various events such as soba noodle making workshops. There's also a kids' mountain and playground for children.
